I'm back to using moBlog to update my blog. I really missed the ability to upload blog entries at DreamForce last week.

TV bugs me. It's such a time sink. You don't realize it, but you waste a lot of time thanks to your TV. It's not just the time you watch, either, it's the time you think about the TV. Stop watching for a week and see what I mean.
However, I love to watch the Minnesota Vikings, and since I live in California, I don't get to see them live very often, so I watch them on TV.
Recently I needed to replace the video card on my computer, so I got an ATI All-In-Wonder 2006 graphics card (I need to convert some video tape to DVD). It includes a TV tuner. Today the Vikings are on TV locally, and my computer is acting as a TiVO. I love it. It's not perfect (I'd like to be able to set how long the forward/back jumps are), but it's pretty damn nice. I'm not sure I'm ready to recommend it to everyone, but it's working for me.
PVRs are the future. What does live really mean?
I'm using XEP to create PDFs from XSL FO, and it's really great but I've run into a problem. For some reason a line of text in my FO is causing XEP to break even though the FO is valid. The odd thing is that the problem is text, not an FO element.
I'm still trying to debug this. I've very willing to believe it's my problem, not xep's, but so far, I can't find a reason to blame myself.
Although no one should be surprised by this, after all the good ol' boy contract manipulations we've seen by this administration, Firms with White House ties get Katrina contracts.
One thing you have to admit Bush does really well - he helps his friends. It doesn't matter how bad the situation is, Bush's friends make money, and that's why he's President. His friends in charge of multi-national corporations knew he'd help them out, and their faith has been rewarded.
Wouldn't it be nice if he was as concerned with those that need help?
